Motivate Kids Occupational Therapy

A purpose-built occupational therapy practice where play inspires learning.

This engaging, purpose-driven project delivered a custom-designed therapy facility for Motivate Kids, an innovative occupational therapy practice.

Motivate Kids offers tailored occupational therapy services for children—from infancy through adolescence—guided by the core belief that children learn best through play.

The design brief was clear and intentional: to create a space that radiates warmth, inspires confidence, and feels welcoming—an environment where children can explore, thrive, and receive the support they need to reach their full potential.

Therapy sessions take place in a state-of-the-art, play-focused setting that is engaging, fun, and rich in therapeutic value.

The facility seamlessly integrates evidence-based strategies, universal design principles, and sensory-informed methodologies to foster a calm, supportive, and highly adaptable environment.

Its sensory-inclusive design supports children with a wide range of sensory sensitivities, cognitive processing differences, and emotional needs—creating a space that is not only inclusive, but also empowering.

Collaboration was central to the project’s success. The design process brought together a diverse global team of specialists, including experts in climbing and trampoline equipment, environmental and design psychology, personal training, and sensorimotor therapy—among them the renowned U.S. practitioner known as “The King of Swings.”

Their combined expertise helped shape a well-informed brief and laid the foundation for a suite of responsive, dynamic therapeutic spaces that support the latest evidence-based treatment approaches.

The response of staff and attending families has been fantastic.
