Noarlunga GP Plus Superclinic

This striking building provides a distinctive gateway element to a new primary health service established on an existing hospital site. The main elevations reflect the confidential internal patient consultation spaces within whilst internally the building form is ‘broken open’ by atriums and open stairs to increase the sense of space, and assist visitor orientation.

Landscaped external protected quiet spaces provide locations for respite as extensions of the internal public areas.

The project incorporates sustainable design principles that address the unique requirements of health facilities including strict infection control needs. The project is one of the first designed to the requirements of the GBCA Greenstar Health Tool and an ‘As-Built’ outcome of 5 star is targeted.
